Leptophyes boscii Fieber, 1853

In Serbia, L. boscii is reported from only a few localities in the western part of the country, south of the Sava and Danube rivers (Fig. 1B), where they are locally present in large numbers. Although the IUCN Red List reports that the species is present in eastern Serbia (Hochkirch et al. 2016) based on one female, further morphological analyses proved that this specimen belongs to L. discoidalis . The species inhabits wet meadows with tall vegetation in shady places, mostly on forest edges.

The adults appear between July and September.
