Type species. Sedulia specularia (Stål, 1875) .
Remarks. This genus comprises two fairly similar-looking species: Sedulia specularia (Stål, 1875) and Sedulia perakensis Willemse, 1932 from Malay Peninsula (Peninsular Malaysia and Singapore).
Diagnosis. Tegmen without parallel veinlets in costal field. Male epiproct with two small teeth near base. Male cercus apically terminating into two processes, sometimes absent. Male subgenital plate short, conical, with obtuse apex. Male epiphallus with long bridge and narrowly triangular lophi. Female subgenital plate with long median projection and two deep lateral excisions on posterior edge (Storozhenko 2009).
Comparison. This genus is similar to Striatosedulia Ingrisch, 1989, Leosedulia Storozhenko, 2009 from Cambodia, Anasedulia Dawwrueng et al., 2015 from Thailand and brachypterous Gerenia Stål, 1878 from Indo- China and India. A key to these similar-looking genera is constructed below.
