Our study focuses on seven common species Omophoita reported for southern Brazil with pinned specimens available for morphological study (Figs 29 –37): O. communis Bechyné, 1959, O. equestris (Fabricius, 1787), O. sesquilunata ab. latitarsis Bechyné, 1955, O. magniguttis Bechyné, 1955, O. octoguttata (Fabricius, 1775), O. personata (Illiger, 1807) and O. sexnotata (Harold, 1876) . O. sesquilunata ab. latitarsis is the first time reported for this region and referred to only as O. sesquilinata from this point on, unless stated otherwise, for simplicity’s sake. None of the species studied are limited to the southern region of Brazil, with material collected in other locations of Brazil as well, particularly along the Atlantic Forest regions.
