Remarks. This species was described based on a single male from Bolivia. In the same work, Chevrolat (1863) described Cyphosterna ornaticollis based on a single female from Brazil (without further details). Gounelle (1911) synonymized C. ornaticollis with C. tripunctata . Currently, it is known from Bolivia (Tarija), Brazil (Goiás, Paraíba, Bahia, Minas Gerais, Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, S„o Paulo, Paraná, Santa Catarina, and Rio Grande do Sul), Paraguay, and Argentina (Jujuy, Formosa, and Misiones) (Bezark 2023b; Monné 2023a; Tavakilian & Chevillotte 2023).
