Type: — VIETNAM. Vinh Phuc: Tamdao Mountain, 1300 m, 21 June 2003, T.T.Bach, B.T.Ha Bach-Ha 19 (holotype HN, isotype HN)

Distribution:—The species is endemic to Vietnam known from (Vinh Phuc Province).

Ecology and phenology:—It grows in humid evergreen broad-leaved montane forests on rhyolites at elevations of about 1300 m a.s.l. Flowers in June–July.

Conservation status:—Initially, the species conservation status was assessed as Vulnerable (VU A1c) according to the IUCN (2023) criteria due to its small occupancy area and the habitats highly influenced by human disturbance from increasing tourist activity (Phuong et al. 2012). We have no more available observations for this species at this time.
