Megalurothrips sjostedti (Trybom)

This is a common species on Fabaceae across the entire Afrotropical Region (Zur Strassen 2003). Adults have been intercepted incidentally in the Netherlands on different species of plants from Africa, such as cut flowers. From Ethiopia it was found once only, a single female on Rosa— cut flower at the flower auction in Aalsmeer, 2.vi.2005 (P. Rozenboom).
