Genus Tagoriana nom. nov.

Tagoria Yakovlev & Zolotuhin, 2021: 39 (Arthropoda: Lepidoptera: Metarbelidae), homonym nov.

Preoccupied by Tagoria Schenkel, 1963: 393 (Arthropoda: Araneae: Salticidae).

Type species: Arbela watsoni Hampson, 1900, by original designation.

Etymology: The spelling is mainly derived from Indian Nobel laureate’s surname Rabindranath Tagore, eminent polymath. The Latin suffix “ -iana ” forms collective nouns and, thus denoting an assembly of items. The name Tagoriana is select to maintain the gender and the etymological root of Tagoria, the original genus name proposed by Yakovlev & Zolotuhin (2021). The gender is feminine.
