Type material. Holotype ♁ (MHBU-ARA-005553), CHINA: Xizang Autonomous Region, Rigaze City, 29°12'N, 88°48'E, 6 September 2002, leg. Minshen Zhu & Feng Zhang, examined.

Diagnosis. Male differs from all the congeners by having a short embolar base projection (much shorter than embolus), a broad embolar base (almost two times as wide as high) and a long and twisted embolus (almost the length of tegulum) (Figs. 14).

Redescription. Male. Holotype (Fig. 13A‒B; MHBU-ARA-005553): total length 5.50; carapace 2.35 long, 1.80 wide; abdomen 3.15 long, 1.58 wide. Eye sizes and interdistances:AME 0.07, ALE 0.10, PME 0.08, PLE 0.09; AME‒AME 0.07, AME‒ALE 0.03, PME‒PME 0.07, PME‒PLE 0.08, ALE‒PLE 0.07. Leg measurements: I 6.38 (1.80, 0.98, 1.52, 1.17, 0.91), II 5.38 (1.45, 0.71, 1.28, 1.08, 0.86), III 4.81 (1.30, 0.46, 1.11, 1.08, 0.86), IV 7.26 (1.85, 0.91, 1.60, 1.94, 0.96). Leg formula: 4123. Cheliceral promargin with four teeth, retromargin with two (Fig. 2E, 13C). Color in alcohol (Fig. 13A–B): carapace dark brown; legs yellow-brown.

Palp (Figs 3F, 13D, 14). Retrolateral tibial apophysis slightly curved, with a triangular membranous projection dorsally; embolar radix projection absent; embolar base with a short distolateral embolar base projection (much shorter than embolus); embolus long and twisted (almost the length of tegulum); median apophysis wide at basally, kidney-shaped in retrolateral view.

Female. Unknown.
