Sarcophaga pedestris Villeneuve, 1910: 147 . Type locality: Yemen, Socotra Archipelago, Socotra, Ra’s Farták.

Remarks. Listed from “ Saudi Arabia, Socotra ” by Verves (1986a) and from Saudi Arabia with no further data by Abu-Zoherah et al. (1993, as Pseudodiscachaeta pedestris). The nominal species, which is known only from the type locality, is in need of a taxonomic revision (Pape 1996), but it has not been possible to trace the type material. The nominal species was placed in the genus-group taxon Liosarcophaga Enderlein by Verves & Khrokalo (2018), which is accepted here.
