Distribution. Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Turkey.
Remarks. First record from Saudi Arabia found in this study is by Lehrer & Abou-Zied (2008, as Engelisca adhamae). The subtle differences between the nominal taxa Sarcophaga surcoufi Villeneuve and Engelisca adhamae Lehrer & Abou-Zied mentioned by Lehrer & Abou-Zied (2008) are here considered as not sufficient to justify a separation into distinct species.
