Taperus bannaensis sp. n.

Measurements. ɗ: body length: 5.5–5.6 mm; head width (incl. eyes): 1.1–1.2 mm; head length: 1.0– 1.1mm; Ψ: body length: 6.0 mm; head width (incl. eyes): 1.1 mm; head length: 1.0 mm.
Vertex, pronotum and scutellum nearly black, with pale yellow longitudinal streak on vertex and pronotum medially. Face yellow (Fig. 11). Forewing (Fig. 50) nearly black, with long plaque in costal area whitish brown, fourth apical cell with small plaque white.
Male pygofer (Fig. 21) narrowed posteriorly, with apex nearly acute, row of long macrosetae on dorsal margin. Apex of footlike apical process of style very long and slender, about one third length of style (Fig. 24). Aedeagal shaft (Figs 22–23) with triangular posterior process near base; large lateral process lamellate, with dorsal margin oblique in lateral view.
Etymology. The species is named after the locality of the type specimens, Xishuangbanna.

Distribution. China (Yunnan, Hainan).
Remarks. This species resembles T. fasciatus Li & Wang externally and in having the similar aedeagus and style, but it can be distinguished from the latter by the shape of the apex of the male pygofer and the lateral lamellate process of the aedeagus with an oblique dorsal margin in lateral view.
