Diagnosis. This species is allied to Coleophora pallidiptera Li & Zheng, 1998, but differs from it by the flagellum of the antenna basally without rough scales; large process shorter and small process longer on dorsal margin of sacculus, and the cornuti bundle smaller in number and length in the male genitalia.

Description. Adult (Fig. 17). Wing expanse: ɗ and Ψ, 11.5–16.0 mm. Head: Densely covered with rough greyish white scales. Postocular scales white. Labial palpus porrect or upturned, smooth or rough, greyish white; second segment longer than diameter of compound eye; third segment shorter than half of second, apex acute. Scales of haustellum white. Antenna scape with rough pale scales anteriorly, greyish white to light brown; basal several segments of flagellum covered with short light brown scales, the rest annulated with white and black alternately. Thorax: Dorsum and tegula greyish white to light brown. Forewing upper surface greyish white to light brown, sometimes with a few scattered greyish brown scales, costal margin light white; ventral surface uniformly light brown; cilia greyish brown. Hindwing grey, cilia light grey. Legs greyish white to light brown. Abdomen (Fig. 18): First tergum with eight very large spiniform setae, from middle to both sides becoming smaller; each of the rest terga with a transverse row of smaller spiniform setae, 7–18 in number. Male genitalia (Figs. 19–22) with gnathos elongate, dorsally blunt, almost rightangled, apex pointed. Tegumen wide, distal half gradually narrowed, slightly concaved at top, supported by broad ventral arms, anterior margin gently curved. Transtilla combined, middle portion broad, cestiform. Valva moderate, costa sinuate, ventral margin straight, apex rounded. Valvula large, sclerotized; basal 1/3 subtriangular, with long hairs; distal 2/3 broad, anteriorly protruded at lateral angle, outer margin straight and more sclerotized, hairs short. Sacculus large, ventra margin almost cornuti; 23, female genitalia enlarged (paratype, slide no. L05071); 24, signum enlarged.

straight; apex somewhat oblique, roughly rounded, with stiff setae; dorsal margin distinctly concaved, with two processes: large process horned, upwardly extending approximating costa and bent inward; small process auriform, near apex of sacculus, about 1/6 length of large one. Juxtal rods slender, appreciably arched; dorsal rod longer and slightly thicker than ventral rod; annulus distinct, broad; seven thin cornuti around base and nine stubbed cornuti around apex grouped into a long and curved bundle; outer sheath long, lamina well sclerotized. Female genitalia (Figs. 23–24, 27) with papillae anales long, apex bluntly pointed. Posterior apophyses longer than twice of anterior apophyses; anterior apophyses as long as 1.5 times of sterigma. Sterigma subrectangular, with lateral margins almost parallel; caudal margin concaved inward for about 2/5 depth of sterigma medially, both sides nearly straight, tuberiferous, with stiff setae; anterior margin straight. Ostium bursae about 1/3 width of sterigma at middle. Colliculum long infundibular, longer than half of sterigma in length, gradually narrowed forwardly. Ductus bursae about seven times length of sterigma; spinulate section as long as anterior apophyses, spinules small, densely arranged; median lamina distinct, with one coil; anterior section membranous. Corpus bursae broad elliptical, inner surface densely with warts, signum small, elongate, spine slender, slightly incurved.

Distribution. China (Inner Mongolia).
