Valvaminor Cerda, 2020a

Cerda (2020a) established this genus for a group of species previously placed in Mesothen Druce —the first species complex of Mesothen in Cerda (2008). The type species is Laemocharis masa Druce, 1889 . In addition, Cerda (2020a) placed V. desperata (Walker, 1856) V. pyrrha (Schaus, 1889), V. inconspicuata (Kaye, 1911), V. davisi (Gibbs, 1913), V. pyrrhina (Jones, 1914) and V. bleuzeni Cerda, 2020a in his new genus.
