Distribution. China (Yunnan).

Remarks. This species was selected as the type species of monotypic genus Simpliperla because of the absence of modified terga 7–8. It is generally dark brown, terga 7–8 are unmodified in the male, and the female has an unmodified sternum 8 and slim, dark transverse bands at sternum 9 (Figs. 60–63), but the male aedeagal features are still unknown.
