Rhamphomyia (Holoclera) caliginosa Collin, 1926: 218 . Type localities: Glamorgan, Kent, Norfolk, Suffolk (England); Wexford (Ireland).
Material examined. ESTONIA. Peedu [59°11′N 25°36′E], 18.vii.1951, AAS (1 ♂) ; Narva-Jõesuu [59°27′N 28°02′E], 7.viii.1960, Rudenko (1 ♂) . KYRGYZSTAN. Chu River, 10 km S Rybach’e [now Balykchy, 42°28′N 76°11′E], 1600 m, 5.viii.1969, Nartshuk (2 ♂) .
Distribution. Europe: Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Russia (centre of European part). Middle Asia: Kyrgyzstan.
Remarks. This species of the R. (H.) nigripennis group is recorded for the first time from Estonia. In addition, R. (H.) caliginosa represents the first record of R. ( Holoclera) from Middle Asia (Kyrgyzstan).
