Rhopalopsole tianmuana Sivec & Harper, 2008

(Fig. 4)

Rhopalopsole tianmuana Sivec & Harper, 2008 . In: Sivec et al. 2008: 103; Yang & Du, 2021: 490.

Examined material. 3 topotype males (CAU): China, Zhejiang Province, Hangzhou, Lin’an County, Tianmu Mountain, Qingliangfeng, Qianqingtang scenic spot, N 30.131872, E119.030364, malaise trap, 2012.VII.8, GangYao .

Distribution. China, Zhejiang Province.

Remarks. These topotypes, from the highest peak of Tianmu Mountain, the type locality, are generally identical with the illustrations of holotype in details, including outlines of lateral projection, central pigmentation of tergum 9, and central plate of tergum 10 (comparing Figs. 4a–c in present study with figs. 47.1–47.5 in Sive c et al. 2008 and figs. 8A–8C (holotype) in Yang & Du 2021). The epiproct of these males is slightly constricted medially, but this variation is due to the treatment with potassium hydroxide (Figs. 4c–4d). The epiproct, in top view, was originally noted as rounded but without an original illustration and not accessible to color photos of holotype (fig. 8 in Yang & Du 2021), but in these males studied herein is obtusely triangular (Fig. 4e, present study), and such difference is possibly due to a slightly different of point of observation on the structure because the top view of epiproct very hard to observe. We present these additional characters and variations herein that may assist in better identification of this species.
