Description of gonopod. Straight in both caudal, lateral views, with proximal protuberance on lateral side; distal part slightly bent in lateral direction; spermatic channel opening on cephalic side. Marginal suture situated on mesial side, straight in mesial view, row of marginal setae proximally. Proximal portion of mesio-caudal side with short row of setae. Subdistal portion of mesio-cephalic, lateral surfaces with wide subdistal field of minute spines. Marginal process (apical lobe, sensu Smalley, 1964b) simple, narrow, slightly shorter than distal border of apex; distal border slightly convex. Lateral suture incomplete, marked by deep sulcus on the proximal half of the caudal side. Distal portion of mesial border, in mesial view, produced into large, rounded mesial process. Apex with narrow, recurved lateral lobe bearing weakly developed field of apical spines on inner surface.

Syntypes and type locality. Two males and two females (USNM 21243) according to Rathbun (1898). Rodriguez (1982) mentioned two males and one female. The senior author found only one male, cw 18.9, cl 12.1, which is partially dearticulated, carapace damaged and abdomen detached from the body. Costa Rica, Puntarenas Province, Agua Buena (Pacific drainage).
