Comments. Edwards (1923) examined the type of L. philippii (NHMW) and mentions additional specimens made available by J.E. Collin from the Bigot collection in OUMNH. The CNC database (www.canacoll.org/ Diptera / Main/CNC_Inventory_Sept_2016.xls) indicates that their collection has one specimen of “ Lobogaster sp.”, without details of the locality.
