Diagnosis of worker: TL 3.3 - 4.1 mm. Clypeus ventrally with median tooth. Masticatory margin of mandible with diastema. Dorsum of head and alitrunk smooth and sparsely foveolate; foveae on head large. Pronotal spines tooth-like about as long as propodeal spine. First gastral tergite without setae.
General distribution: Previously known from New Guinea and some nearby islands (Ceram, Ambon, etc.); Wang (2003: fig. 162) postulated an allopatric distribution of P. quadridens HNS and the closely related species P. brevispinosus HNS, which is also recorded from the Philippines. As shown in this study, the two species have an overlapping distribution in the region "Greater Mindanao".
