Lectotype ( Martínez Ortega & al. in Taxon 50: 554. 2001): Herb. Linn. No. 26.65 (LINN) .

Current name: Veronica peregrina L. ( Scrophulariaceae).

Note: Pennell (in Acad. Nat. Sci. Philadelphia Monogr. 1: 337. 1935) stated that material in LINN was the basis for Linnaeus’ diagnosis but he fell short of calling it the type.
