Distribution in mainland China: Unspecified locality in mainland China (Borowski 2007).

Other distribution. Eastern Siberia, Japan. (Borowski and Węgrzynowicz 2012)

Biology. Members of the subfamily have a very distinctive host amongst bostrichoids, hard polypore fungi ( Phellinus, Polyporus) growing on the dead logs of birch, oak ( Betula, Quercus), and other hardwood trees (Liu & Schönitzer 2011).
