Distribution in Lao PDR (Fig. 18): Bolikhamxai Province limestone near Lak Sao (Ban Lak-20) (CMF field record); Houaphan Province: Viengxai (EBD collection); Louangphabang Province: Nam Khan (EBD collection); Louangnamtha Province: Ban Eng (IEX collection); Vientiane Province: Ban Nampe (IEX collection).

Taxonomic notes

These specimens could not be differentiated from R. macrotis based on DNA barcodes (Francis et al., 2010), but they were very distinct in size and echolocation calls.
