Vietnam and Lao PDR. Status of this species is not known.

Distribution in Lao PDR (Fig. 77): Bolikhamxai Privince: Nam Pan (ROM collection); Houaphan Province: Viengxai (EBD collection); Khammouan Province: Pha Deng (ROM collection).

Taxonomic note

These specimens were originally reported as Murina aurata (Francis, 1999) but match the description of M. eleryi .
