Endemic to Iran according to Stål 1876; Horváth 1906 and Oshanin 1906, 1912; mentioned also from Israel (doubtfully), Afghanistan and Syria (Derjanschi & Péricart 2005) and also from Egypt (Sinai) and Yemen by Rider (2006); therefore the general distribution is Arabo-Sindien and Near East.
