Distribution in Iran. Alborz, Fars, Guilan, Kerman, Kuhgiloyeh & Boyerahmad, Mazandaran, Qazvin, Sistan & Baluchestan, Tehran, West Azarbaijan, Zanjan (Hoberlandt 1997), Ardabil (Modarres Awal 1987), East Azarbaijan (Farahbakhsh 1961; Wagner 1968; Modarres Awal 1997b; Hassanzadeh et al. 2009a; Ghahari et al. 2010a; Khaghaninia et al. 2010a, b), Golestan (Wagner 1968; Hoberlandt 1997), Isfahan (new materials, det. P. Moulet), Khorasan (Modarres Awal 2008; Havaskary et al. 2010; Mehneh et al. 2010), Iran (no locality cited) (Serjanschi & Péricart, 2005; Rider 2006).

General distribution. Euro-Siberian but not in Great Britain, Scandinavia and North Africa.

Host plants. On colza, mustard, raddish, turnip (Modarres Awal 1997b), lucerne (Modarres Awal 1997b; Modarres Awal 2008), cabbage (Modarres Awal 1997b; Hassanzadeh et al. 2009a), wild Brassicaceae family plants (Modarres Awal 1997b; Mehneh et al. 2010), wheat, hedge mustard, grasses (Modarres Awal 2008), rape (Khaghaninia et al. 2010a).

Comment. In his paper Tamanini (1957) described several varieties (with no taxonomic value): triguttata, lineata, dilatata, prtensa, confluens, sctutellata, caudata, connexa, ocellata; in 1961 Tamanini (in Stichel) changed some names because of homonymies: fasciipennis instead of confluens, maculosa instead of scutellata, trimaculata instead of triguttata .
