Material examined. Mount Elgon, Suam River, 1°20′N 35°06′E, 1890 m, under shrubs, gallery forest, 1 ♀, 7 February 1979.
Distribution. This species is widely distributed across tropical Africa.
Remark. The female of this species has a characteristic ventral spination on the first pair of legs, which is: a single short spine on patella, 5 pairs of long spines on tibia and 2 pairs on metatarsus.
