11. Genus Scaria Bolívar, 1887

This genus was recently studied by Cadena-Castañeda et al. (2019) and is easily distinguish from the other batrachideines by slender body; antennae 20–22 segmented; anterior margin of the pronotum (lateral and dorsal view) hook-like (median carina sharply cristate); mid femur apical spine presence; wings present in all species; no brachypronotal form is known; presence of lateral darkish perpendicular band from eyes to disc pronotal region usually present (Fig. 34). The genus Scaria consists of 11 species in four species groups: hamata group; lineata group; laeta group and producta group (Cadena-Castañeda et al., 2019) (Fig. 40).
