Dendroiketes corticinus (Burr, 1908)

Description

Anterior part of body paler than abdomen which is blackish-brown (Fig. 2a). Antennae with first and second segments brownish yellow (Fig. 2b), hind femora darker at middle, posterior half of pronotum, along inner margin of tegmina, and wings with a yellow stripe (Fig. 2c). Body without forceps 14.32 mm in length. Head sutures fine but distinguishable, occiput and frons raised, as broad as long (1.69 mm in length and width (Table 2)). Antennae 30-segmented, first segment being stout, expanded apically, shorter than distance between antennal bases and equal to combined length of second and third segments; second segment being short, about as long as third; third segment being long, slender; fourth and fifth segments being subconical; and sixth segment and beyond gradually lengthening distally, with a few apical segments thin. Prozona elevated; metazona depressed; pronotum transverse; sides sub convex; hind margin truncate; distinct median sulcus measuring 0.12 mm in length and 1.84 mm in width (Table 2). A broad, triangular scutellum visible, tegmina and wings well-developed with exposed part of wings smooth and longer than tegmina (length 2.46 mm; width 2.31 mm). Legs long and stout, with first section of tarsus shorter than third, fore femora swollen, and middle and hind ones compressed. Parallel-sided, slightly convex, punctate tergites in abdomen. Last thoracic sternite punctate, rounded at the apex and obtuse in centre (Fig. 2d). Posterior half of the ultimate tergite is declivent, punctured deeply and densely, and weakly transverse. Anal process smooth and depressed, hind border rounded and finely serrated (2.61 mm wide). Forceps strong, depressed, regularly incurved from base to apex (2.15 mm length); apex weakly hooked and pointed (Fig. 2f). Parameres long, narrowed at apex, and virga and basal vesicles distinguishable on the distal lobes of genitalia (Fig. 2g).
