Die Synonymie gilt nach vergleichenden Studien (Norton & Kethley 1989) und nach eigenen Untersuchungen an einem Berlese-Präparat als sicher.

Ökologie: Vorwiegend in nassen, oligotrophen Sphagnum-Mooren, auch submers.

Verbreitung: Holarktis.
