Distribution. Argentina: Tucumán (Dpto. Famaillá) and Neuquén; Africa: Algeria and Morocco; Asia: China and Thailand; Eurasia: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Czechia, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Korea, Luxemburg, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey and Yugoslavia (Wood & Bright 1992; Córdoba et al. 2021; Atkinson 2023).
Comments. Kirkendall (2018) noted that previous reports of O. erosus (Wollaston) were in error and were actually this species. Specimens from Tucumán were examined by both authors.
