Note on availability and status. The taxon name is hereby resurrected from synonymy with Danacea micans Prochazka, 1894: The name of this taxon is deemed available and subspecific, because the work published before 1960 did not unambiguously indicate that the name was infrasubspecific.

Comments. The original diagnosis clearly states that the specimen(s), on which the taxon is based, should possess a pronotum of different shape than in those of D. micans .
