Paratype ♀ (all legs lost except left middle one): VIETNAM: Fyan / 900–1000 m./ 11. VII.–9. VIII.’61; N. R. Spencer/ Collector

Diagnosis and comparison. The lower lateral plate of pronotum of this brachypterous species is very similar to Neocononicephora sinuosa sp. n., but head more hypognathous (Fig. 33a). Female subgenital plate with posterior margin in broad bifurcated form (Fig. 33b), ovipositor slightly shorter.

Male unknown.

Measurements (mm). Body: ♀ 7.6–8.0; Pronotum: ♀ 2.7–3.0; Tegmina: ♀ 3.1–3.5; Hind femora: lost; Oviposi- tor: 4.5–4.9.

Etymology. Species name is from type locality Fyan.
