Type Locality: Australia, Northern Territory, near Alexandria (19°03'S, 136°42'E).

Vernacular Names: Alexandria False Antechinus.

Distribution: Northern Territory: known only from type locality and North Isl, Sir Edward Pellew Group.

Conservation: IUCN – Vulnerable.

Discussion: Not a synonym of P. macdonnellensis (Kitchener, 1991) .
