Type Locality: Australia, Queensland, Cape York Penninsula, Nesbit River, Buthen Buthen (13°21'S, 143°28'E).

Vernacular Names: Cinnamon Antechinus.

Distribution: Cape York Peninsula from the Iron Range to the southern limit of the McIlwraith Range.

Conservation: IUCN – Lower Risk (nt).
