Type species. Cercoteratura variegata Gorochov, by original designation

Diagnosis (after Gorochov, 2019). The male 10 th abdominal tergite has a short postero-median lobe which is rather diverse in shape and width; with the epiproct rather large, complicated and divided into a pair of the lateral lobes. The male cerci are strongly curved upwards and situated very close to each other in the rest position; the male subgenital plate is narrowed in distal part and with developed styles; the male genitalia with large sclerotized or semi-sclerotized median structure.
