Diagnosis. Adult (Fig. 8) with wingspan 10.0–12.0 mm. This species is close to P. lambda Moriuti, 1977 in genital characters. Prays cingulata can be distinguished in the male genitalia by the obliquely outwards socius without any tooth, the tegumen produced into a pair of free thorn-shaped processes medially, and the saccus gradually widened distally (Fig. 3); in the female genitalia by the ductus bursae sclerotized in anterior 2/3 (Fig. 4). In P. lambda, the socius is curved obliquely inwards and has many tiny teeth near ventral margin on the inner surface, the tegumen is concave medially and forms a semicircular process laterally on the anterior margin, and the saccus is parallel laterally in the male genitalia (Moriuti, 1977: Plate XXIII, fig. 255); and the ductus bursae is membranous in the female genitalia (Moriuti, 1977: Plate XLVIII, fig. 407).
Distribution. China (Chongqing, Guizhou, Yunnan).
