Stenostomum spec. 2
(Fig. 8 B, C)
K04:93 (Larsson et al. 2008)
Locality. Loc. 19
Material. Two individuals studied alive.
Description. The length of the animal is 0.5 mm with a rounded anterior end and a blunt posterior end possible due to recent detachment of a zooid. The intestine is dark. Excretophores are absent.
There are two round and very small refractile organs on each side of the mouth associated with the posterior brain lobes. The small ciliated pits are shallow and situated close to the anterior tip.
The anterior brain lobes are very inconspicuous and consist of a few metamerically arranged ganglia, whereas the posterior brain lobes could not be seen.
The mouth is round and situated at approximately 1/5 of the total body length. The pharynx length is 1/8 of the total body length.
The protonephridium is sinuous with a clearly visible nephridiopore.
Remark. Even if the description is detailed this species is not formally described because only two individuals were studied.
