Oryssomus guyanensis sp. nov.

Description of holotype (female). Length 4.92, width 3.42 mm. Form elongate oval, widest at middle of elytra, somewhat flattened dorsoventrally (Fig. 4 C). General color brownish yellow, thorax and abdomen dark brown medially (Fig. 4 A, B). Outline of pronotum and elytron discontinuous. Pronotum brownish yellow, with a small basal black spot, translucent at apex; finely, densely punctured; pubescence of semidecumbent yellowish hairs (Fig. 4 D). Elytra brownish yellow with an triangular black spot extending almost to apex. Elytral punctures coarse, dense, slightly larger than on pronotum, sparse and thinner in the discal area. Antenna (Fig. 4 G) and mouthparts brownish yellow, hypomera and epipleura yellow, legs brownish yellow. Metaventrite finely, sparsely punctured medially and anteriorly; coarsely, densely punctured laterally and posteriorly with punctures large, often confluent. Abdominal ventrites coarsely punctured, punctures separated by about a diameter or less, punctures becoming coarser laterally on first ventrite (Fig. 4 E). First abdominal ventrite with postcoxal line extending beyond middle of first sternum. Genitalia with genital plates triangular, elongate, styli with setae; spermatheca elongate, uniform (Fig. 4 F).
Male. Unknown.
Etymology. The name of this species refers to the known geographical distribution of the species.
Discussion. The elytral color pattern of Oryssomus guyanensis sp. nov. resembles O. guillermo sp. nov., but differs in the shape of the dorsal black spot and female genitalia, which have elongated coxites.
