Ropalidia cincta (Lepeletier de Saint-Fargeau, 1836)

Distribution in the Arabian Peninsula: Yemen (Madl 2018).

Extralimital distribution: Democratic Republic of Congo, Djibouti, Eritrea, Ethiopia, Gambia, Kenya, Mozambique, Namibia, Republic of Congo, Senegal, Somalia, South Africa, Sudan, Tanzania, Uganda, Zimbabwe.

Remarks: Madl (2018), in his paper on the Hymenoptera of Djibouti, provided no reference for the occurrence in Yemen and claimed that this species is also widespread in the Palaearctic region; this record may therefore be an error, although it is possibly correct.
