Current name: Sideroxylon salicifolium (L.) Lam. ( Sapotaceae).
Note: Howard (Fl. Lesser Antilles 6: 69. 1989) and Pennington (Fl. Neotropica 52: 149. 1990) both treated material in Herb. Sloane (BM-SL) as the type. However, it was not seen by Linnaeus and is not original material for the name.
