Lectotype (Brullo & al. in Bocconea 16: 558, 562. 2003): Gouan 8, Herb. Linn. No. 419.20 (LINN) .

Current name: Allium pallens L. ( Liliaceae / Alliaceae).

Note: De Wilde-Duyfjes (in Taxon 22: 74. 1973) designated Hasselquist material (Herb. Linn. No. 139.9, S) as lectotype, but this choice was rejected by Brullo & al. on the grounds that, having been collected in the Middle East, it conflicted with the geographical elements of the protologue. Brullo & al. designated material sent to Linnaeus by Gouan as lectotype instead.
