Current name: Astragalus sesameus L. ( Fabaceae: Faboideae).

Note: Gazer (in Sendtnera 1: 122. 1993) designated 926.24 (LINN) as lectotype, but the sheet lacks the relevant Species Plantarum number (i.e. “17”), was a post-1753 addition to the herbarium and is not original material for the name. This name was considered by Turland & Jarvis (in Taxon 46: 464. 1997) where it was to have been typified by Podlech using a Plukenet illustration. However, the omission of any reference to “type” rendered this ineffective. This type choice is validated here.
