Achillea falcata Linnaeus, Species Plantarum 2: 897. 1753.

"Habitat in Oriente." RCN: 6492.

Lectotype (Huber-Morath in Ber. Schweiz. Bot. Ges. 84: 137. 1975): Herb. Clifford: 412, Achillea 4 (BM-000647153) .

Current name: Achillea falcata L. ( Asteraceae).

Note: Huber-Morath indicated material in "Hb. Cliff. 412" as type, and as there is only one collection there associated with this name, this is accepted as a formal choice of type. Subsequently, Valant-Vetschera (in Bot. J. Linn. Soc. 121: 164-167. 1996) provided a detailed study of the typification of the name, reproducing the protologue and her chosen type (her f. 2), the same as Huber-Morath’s .
