Antepipona excelsa pallida Giordani Soika 1982: 250, ♀, “ Himalaya: Kumaon, Chaubattia” (RMNH).

♀ (Figs 37–42). Differs from the nominotypical subspecies for the pale yellow colour of the spots. Other colour differences: mandible with V–shaped spot at base; clypeus, in addition to basal band, with pre apical yellow mark; dorsal face of propodeum with yellow spot; regular apical band on T4; T5 sometimes with full apical band or reduced to spot at middle; tegulae sometimes ferruginous.

Size (H+M+T1+T2). 9–9.5 mm.
