Althepus muangensis Li et Li sp. nov.

Type material. Holotype: Male (IZCAS), Thailand, Phangnga Province, Muang District, Phung Chang Cave, 08°26.580'N, 98°30.990'E, altitude 33m, 0 9 October 2015 . Paratypes: 2 females, same data as holotype (IZCAS) .

Etymology. The specific name refers to the type locality; adjective.

Diagnosis. The species resembles A. lakmueangensis sp. nov. (Figs 10–11) with the male palp, but can be distinguished by the smooth surface of the distal embolus (Figs 14A–D), by the large conductor as well as by the short spermathecae (Fig. 15E).

Description. Male (holotype). Total length 3.41; carapace 1.00 length, 1.39 width; abdomen 2.28 length, 1.38 width. Carapace rounded (Fig. 15G), yellow, with three longitudinal brown bands of different width, among them, the middle wider than both sides. Clypeus black-brown. Cheliceral promargin with two teeth, followed by a lamina, retromargin with two small teeth (Fig. 21H). Labium brown. Sternum black-brown. Abdomen elongate, brown, with one longitudinal yellow band and two latitudinal yellow chevron bands dorsally, and two narrow white bands ventrally. Legs brown, femur and tibia annulated with white. Leg measurements: I 36.96 (11.79, 1.25, 10.83, 19.55, 3.27), II 17.50 (4.75, 1.25, 4.45, 5.77, 1.28), III 27.47 (6.60, 1.25, 6.67, 9.23, 3.72), IV 23.82 (6.54, 1.25, 6.41, 7.63, 1.99). Male palp (Figs 14A–D): tarsus with three slightly curved, serrated bristles and one wart-like protrusion at the top of cymbial protrusion (Fig. 14A), one hooked spine with tip directed towards proximally (Fig. 14c), one strong spine arising from a small tubercle; bulb bright yellow, ovate; embolus arising distally from bulb, short and surface smooth; conductor arising prolatero-distally from bulb, flat; embolus and conductor widely separated (the distance is less than diameter of bulb).

Female (paratype). Similar to male in coloration and general features (Figs 15H–I), but with a larger body size. Internal genitalia with a pair of transparent spermathecae (Fig. 15E). Measurements: total length 3.69; carapace 1.00 length, 1.46 width; abdomen 2.48 length, 1.48 width. Legs I 35.41 (9.11, 0.40, 9.87, 12.50, 3.53), legs II 21.54 (5.96, 0.40, 5.19, 8.40, 1.59), III 14.01 (3.50, 0.40, 3.55, 5.00, 1.56), IV 18.98 (4.48, 0.40, 5.83, 6.67, 1.60).

Variation. Carapace: females 1.00–1.13 length, 1.17–1.46 width, tibia I 9.29–9.87. Distribution. Known only from the type locality (Fig. 22).
