Type locality. Not stated (“Habitat intra Europae poma”).

Material examined. Kiel coll. 1 specimen. S & TL coll. 1 specimen.

Identity. Cydia pomonella (Linnaeus, 1758) ( Olethreutinae, Grapholitini).

Remarks. The name is an unjustitified emendation of Phalaena (Tortrix) pomonella Linnaeus.
