Type Locality: Madagascar, Province of Toliara, Kirindy/ CFPF Forest, 60 km NE of Morondava, 20°04’S, 44°39’E, about 40 m.

Vernacular Names: Berthe's Mouse Lemur.

Distribution: Madagascar: region surrounding Kirindy/ CFPF Forest, perhaps south to RS d’Andranomena and north to region of Analabe.

Conservation: CITES – Appendix I; U.S. ESA – Endangered.
