Type Locality: C Sulawesi, Rano Rano.

Vernacular Names: Pygmy Tarsier.

Distribution: Known only from type locality and Latimojong Mtns, C Sulawesi (Indonesia).

Conservation: CITES – Appendix II; IUCN – Data Deficient.

Discussion: Separated from T. tarsier ( T. spectrum) by Musser and Dagosto (1987); recognized as a full species by Groves (1989, 2001 c) and others.
