Valvula II curved ventrally, of uniform width throughout, apex rounded; toothed area not prominent, with very few effaced widely separated teeth (Figs 70 OP).

Material examined: Several males and females from INDIA: Karnataka: Mudigere, Jog Falls, Bantwal, Shivamogga, Makuta, Sirsi, Siddapura, Unchlli Falls, Sakleshpura, collected during January,, April, May and December. The species was collected on Piper nigrum L. ( Piperaceae) in Sakleshpura .

Remarks. Viraktamath (1976) adequately described and illustrated the species. It is a small species common in Western Ghats. This species is included in the genus Ulavius tentatively as it has a short median ventral process on male pygofer and ventral margin of the pygofer is fairly convex. However, the sinuate aedeagal shaft with apex attenuated beyond gonopore and well-developed preatrium place it in the genus.
