Thinolestris luteola Grootaert & Meuffels, 1989, IndoMalayan Zoology 5: 33 (Figs. 1–5).
Diagnosis: Antenna yellow, third segment a little darker than basal segments. Mesonotum and scutellum reddish yellow in groundcolour with black bristles. First abdominal tergite yellow, following segments black. Hairs on tergites brownish, marginal setae black. Tip of hypandrium indented (Fig. 12).
Distribution: Papua New Guinea: Coral Sea and Bismarck Sea (New Ireland). Phenology: Adults observed only September (being the single collecting period).
